Video: Trophy Anti-RPG/Anti-Missile Protection System for APCs and Tanks

It's possible that very soon, U.S. armored vehicles, including infantry fighting vehicles/armored personnel carriers (IFV/APC) and main battle tanks (MBT), will be receiving a new type of anti-RPG/ATGM (Rocket Propelled Grenade/Anti-Tank Guided Missile) active protection system. On March 30, 2006, a Stryker combat vehicle outfitted with the Trophy Active Protection System (APS), a.k.a. Trophy Active Defense System (ADS), successfully detected, tracked, and defeated an inert incoming RPG while the protected vehicle was moving. The live-fire test was conducted by the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Dahlgren Division at the request of the Office of the Secretary of Defense's Office of Force Transformation (OFT) in support of OFT's Project Sheriff, a.k.a. Full-Spectrum Effects Platform (FSEP).
Trophy was selected in 2005 to be FSEP's active protection solution as part of FSEP program officials' desire to meet urgent operational requirements for a range of lethal and less-lethal/non-lethal technologies/solutions on a rapidly-deployable platform (like the highly-mobile wheeled Stryker infantry combat vehicle, for instance). In our latest article on Pinnacle Armor SOV/Dragon Skin body armor, DefenseReview discussed the extensive and unrefutable (unclassified) ballistic test data on Dragon Skin that we recently viewed with our own eyes. This data was compiled by three different well-known ballistic test centers (ATC, USTL, and H.P. White). In fact, to my knowledge, I was the first person outside of Pinnacle Armor and the U.S. military to view this data.

Even though the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms ('BATF') may consider an item not subject to federal law as a fir earm, it may still be illegal under California law. Why? As a general rule, California law dealing with firearms and other non-firearm weapons tends to be much more restrictive than the federal law or the firearms and weapons laws of most other states.
Lawmaker who owns gun store -no conflict
From GUNED.COM-- MADISON, Wis. - A state representative who owns a gun store does not have a conflict of interest even though he's pushing bills to lower the hunting age to 8 and allow people to carry concealed weapons, the state Ethics Board says. Rep. Scott Gunderson, R-Waterford, has led the fight on those two high-profile issues this legislative session and helped pass a number of other pro-hunting bills from his position as chairman of the natural resources committee.
